HISTORY History of Innovation
As a company securing itself as a top innovative leader in energy efficient lighting, American Lighting expands the wall washer family to include the LED Linear Wall Washer in both a Warm White and RGB option! Broadening wall washer options enable even more opportunities to use LED light sources to save significantly in energy and maintenance costs when compared to any other type of flood light source. Even more exciting, American Lighting is bringing its expertise and quality to the area of general illumination with the introduction of the LED Down Light family. Offering savings in running costs, eliminating frequent lamp replacements and carrying a UL listing for the 2010 NEW Super Neon Flexbrite is introduced with brighter LEDs more closely replicating the appearance of traditional neon while using 70% less energy! Also new in 2010, the LED Snowfall Lights showcase a unique new look for seasonal décor while employing low energy and long lasting LEDs with a random chasing effect that mimics falling snow. Another energy saving alternative for sign lighting was debuted with the introduction of the NEW LED Channel Rays. This low-profile module with a 120° viewing angle creates a more uniform back lighting effect, improved silhouettes, and energy efficient channel letter lighting. 2009 The LED 4590 is introduced to the American Lighting cabinet and display lighting family to increase projection versatility allowing illumination in hard-to-light areas. Another addition to this family, the LED Mini Swivel Series, is a powerful point source of light that swivels to direct light where you need it, without building up heat and thus keeping displays cool. In addition, NEW LED Sign Lamps are introduced, providing a longer life and reduced energy consumption alternative to traditional incandescent bulbs. 2008 The PRIORI Series is expanded with the addition of the sleek, low-profile PRIORI Xenon that houses 120V Xenon lamps that require no transformer! 2007 The LED Thirty 12V puck light is introduced and American Lighting launches second generation of the Illumishelf – using long-lasting LEDs. COMING SOON: LED Festoons, LED Ruler, and LED Wall Washers. 2006 The PRIORI T2 Under Cabinet Light with the latest in subminiature Fluorescent technology starts a new era in slim attractive task lights that fit in smaller spaces, while offering more light. Commercial LED lights with co-axial connector systems allow runs up to half of a mile in length from a single 120V outlet. The LED Bandolier becomes the most versatile sign lighting tool to hit the industry to date. 2005 American Lighting introduces a quality line of pre-lighted wreaths and garland, and a line of National Football, Major League Baseball and NCAA sport motifs. 2004 Color-changing, Cool White and Warm White rectangular rope light system (LED 4-Wire), LED Bullets and LED Night Lights are added to the line for residential and commercial applications including accent lighting, safety lighting and cove lighting. 2003 American Lighting develops “Warm White” LEDs that have potential for residential use. American Lighting introduces the first LED Under Cabinet and Puck system. 2002 Innovations with LED technology lead to widespread use in a variety of commercial lighting applications. Consumers rave about these new long-lasting, environmentally friendly lighting options. LED Clip Light becomes the newest border lighting tool. Borrowed from the world of electronic indicator lights, cool white, bright red, green, blue and yellow LEDs allow longer runs and more vibrant, attention-grabbing effects. LED Tube Lights are American Lighting’s first color-changing architectural LED product. 2001 American Lighting introduces the first 120V Xenon Under Cabinet and Puck lighting systems. 2000 Cold cathode edge lighting products are introduced by American Lighting for displays, signage and engraved items making details light up almost magically. 1999 Under cabinet lights (both 12V Halogen and 12V Xenon) are added to the line for kitchen counters, office and task lighting and medical workstations. 1998 Xenon technology leads to a variety of new applications in under cabinet and puck lighting products. Xenon quickly begins to replace Halogen counterparts due to its high efficiency and long lamp life. 1997 Versatile Commercial Grade Light String and Festoon Light String products are launched for bridges, building outlines, patio lighting, gazebos and many other applications where festive points of light are needed for dramatic effect. 1996 American Lighting designed an easy-to-use Fiber Optic Star Kit for customers who wish to make twinkling star ceiling effects in homes, theaters, and bathrooms and for commercial projects including stage backdrops, nightclub ceiling and even twinkling sidewalks. 1995 An assortment of holiday lighting motifs are introduced to add festive and fun lighted decorations for major winter holidays as well as Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day. 1994 New fiber optic technology is introduced and opens up a whole new array of innovative uses for signs, building outlines, cove lighting, architectural details, fountains and swimming pools. 1993 With the creation of Halogen technology, new avenues for home and commercial lighting are available. American Lighting introduces the Halogen Light Bar. 1990 Innovative linear lighting technology (rope light) introduced in the marketplace allowing for broad residential and commercial applications. 1989 American Lighting was founded. |
